Early March in Everglades National Park

Everglades National Park
I was fortunate enough to get into the Everglades National Park twice this week, once on my own, once with my kid and an Audubon Field Trip.
All of the photos are for sale–though these aren't on my website as of date of publishing this. If you see one you like, let me know. They start at about $20.

Herons

Anhingas

The last two pictures are of baby anhingas. The one with the adult male standing guard of a nest actually has two nests in the image that almost look like just one nest. The final image is of some fledglings that are just a little older than the birds in the nest--these birds are a few feet from their nests and still demanding food from mom and dad.
Alligators and Crocodiles

The striped alligator is about 2 feet long and is probably 2 years old--it's a baby, essentially. The last image is of a crocodile named Half Jaw near the Flamingo Marina.
Ospreys
